A weak thermal trough has retrograded to the coast. As a result... there is a southerly flow from Santa Barbara to San Francisco per the 15z gradients. This flow is expected to persist through the week. As is usually the case in this pattern...onshore gradients are accelerating the flow through the golden gate. With winds at angel island near or at small craft criteria have decided to start the SCA this morning.
